Photos: Rescued Pups Get Day at The Spa

Petco of Glen Cove lends their grooming facilities to prepare 17 pups saved by Yorkie911 Rescue for adoption.

Seventeen rescued dogs got their day at the Spa on Tuesday, opened up its grooming facilities to the Yorkie911 Rescue organization.

With the ultimate goal of finding pups loving homes, Yorkie911 Rescue is an organization of volunteers dedicated to saving Yorkie Terriers and other toy breeds from the cruelty and neglect of puppy mills.

After a quick ear and heartworm check by veterinarian Dr. Danielle Hammer, the pups were groomed by Jacquelyn DeProspo and Jackie Mennella of Friendly Paws Mobile Pet Grooming.
