Shelter Animal of the Week: Sydney

Sydney is an eight year-old domestic short hair cat who has called the home for over two years.

Sydney is medium-sized, and her coat is dark brown with light brown and black speckles. She has light green eyes as well.

Her favorite place to be is on her soft, beige bed inside of her cage. From this very spot, Sydney enjoys people-watching as visitors come and go. She is patient, quiet and gives her undivided attention to new friends.

Although she is not the biggest fan of being picked up or held, Sydney loves being pet.

“She’s her own kitty,” said Mary, a shelter employee, implying Sydney thoroughly enjoys the livelihood of being a cat. Sydney could become the perfect companion for adults seeking a loyal, loving feline who only wants a chance at having a family again.
