Memorial Day Weekend Events In Glen Cove

Glen Cove residents will pause over Memorial Day Weekend to remember those who gave their lives in defense of our country. 

The City of Glen Cove has announced the following schedule of events:

Sunday

• Decoration of the City’s War Monuments 

1 p.m. Monument at Forest Avenue and Ford Street

1:30 p.m. Monument at the Church of St. Rocco

2 p.m. Monument at Elm Avenue and Frost Pond Road

• Memorial Service Honoring the Nation’s War Dead 

3 p.m. The annual memorial service will be held at the Holy Resurrection Greek Orthodox Church, on the corner Route 107 and Northern Boulevard.

Monday

11 a.m. Commemorations at Monument Park. 

12 p.m. The parade steps off from the Finley Middle School horseshoe and continues from Forest Avenue, down School, left onto Glen Street, right onto Pulaski Street, right onto the arterial highway, past the reviewing stand in front of Glen Cove Library, and ending at the Glen Cove Volunteer Fire Department.
