U.S. Navy Band Northeast Performs Sunday at Morgan Park Summer Music Festival

The ensemble is a full 45-member concert band comprised of professional Navy musicians from across the county.

The U.S. Navy Band Northeast Pops Ensemble performs at Morgan Park Summer Music Festival Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free.

The ensemble is a full 45-member concert band comprised of professional Navy musicians from across the county. The band performs a wide variety of musical styles including the traditional band repertory, popular standards and patriotic favorites. A perennial favorite with audiences of all ages, the ensemble presents programs drawn from among crowd-pleasing classics such as God Bless AmericaAmerica the BeautifulBuglers' HolidayThe FlorentinerSwaneeSecond Suite for Military Band and more.

The Navy Band Northeast concert is supported in part by a generous donation from the Trustees of Morgan Memorial Park.

Blankets, chairs and picnics are encouraged, and children are welcome. Alcoholic beverages, however, are not permitted in the park.  

Morgan Park Summer Music Festival is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization that has provided free concerts in the park for 55 years. Organizers say the shows are completely funded through the generous donations that are received from businesses and individuals. Taxpayer money is not requested nor received to bring this high caliber talent to the festival.
