Weekend Guide in and Around Glen Cove

Here are some activities to enjoy this weekend. 

Saturday

  • Cleanup the shoreline of the Target Rock National Wildlife Refuge with the Huntington-Oyster Bay Audubon Society and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Snacks and water will be provided for the volunteers. 9 a.m. 12 Target Rock Rd, Lloyd Harbor.
  • New exhibits open Saturday at the Nassau County Museum of Art. “Alex Katz:  Selections from the Whitney Museum of American Art” in the Main Galleries. And “AftermodernisM AM,” featuring artists Nina Chanel Abney, Justin Craun, Wendell Gladstone, Erik Parker and Tom Sanford, in the Second Floor Galleries. Through October 13. Hours: Tuesday-Sunday, 11 a.m.-4:45 p.m. One Museum Drive, Roslyn Harbor
  • See Christian singer/guitarist Doreen Christiansen Pinkerton at Village Church of Bayville, 9 Mountain Ave, Bayville. 1 p.m. Relyea Memorial Garden, 9 Mountain Avenue, Bayville
