ASR's third graders used the song “Don’t Laugh at Me” to explore how music can change the world. Several activities from Operation Respect and anti-bullying programs helped them become more aware of how their actions affect others. They are striving to be caring, respectful, and compassionate, as they work to create a ridicule-free, peaceful classroom.
Students worked in groups to discuss the meaning of the lyrics of this song and to plan and pose for photos and video clips which illustrate them. This video was created to help our students and others to understand how we can make a difference by helping each other and working together.
