We should always remember the sacrifices made by the men who flew in them, and all our militaryRead More before and after. Just because one war was glorified or better accepted, doesn't diminish the courage and pain of those who fought, whenever they fought.

These are remarkable machines and harken back to another time. I highly recommend you take yourRead More kids. And the people the museum are great about explaining the warbirds in context of their times. I got chills when the B-17 "Flying Fortress" rolled up on the tarmac. We'd love to have your photos; you can upload them directly to this gallery.

I am happy to see that your first house is ready to go for these precious women. What you are doingRead More is truly God's purpose for you. I had the pleasure to visit the jails with you once, and saw first-hand how they latched on to every word you said, and they seemed so grateful for what you were doing for them. I would like to help in any way I can, Lisa. Just let me know. I have some dontations for these women, and I'm just waiting to hear when I can bring them over to you. Regards, Fran Monaco

So happy to hear these dogs were rescued! Puppy mills are horrible and they all need to be shutRead More down. I hope all of these furbabies are able to find furever homes. They deserve to live a life full of love and security. Here is a rescue story about a dog who was taken back to the shelter b/c she was blind and partially deaf. Luckily someone saw past that and gave her a great life. http://www.ilovedogs.com/2012/06/reader-rescue-story-phoebe/

After going to so many sport events at public schools ....I noticed huge amounts of trash stuck inRead More fences and shrubs on the exterior of our public schools. Maybe we can focus on cleaning up our school grounds. Wait - doesn't our taxes pay for this already ?

Hi Mrs Holt, it was an honor and a priviledge to help Brian in a small way with this great cause inRead More your son's name. Rest assured that many folks in Glen Cove, including the hibernians and members of the Locust Valley FD now know of David R. Baker and his ultimate sacrifice for all of us. Brian done a great job and everyone totally enjoyed being a part of it. You and David are in the thoughts and prayers of many here. Take care of yourself.

Actually I like the opossums around here. I am not crazy about the raccoons. We had an adolescentRead More opossum stuck in our enclosed patio one night. Could not convince it to leave. Finally I went out and found some slugs. I set up a trail of slugs out the door and it followed the trail and ate them! Then found out a few days later it had decided to set up home in my garage. I was eventually able to get it out only to find out from my neighbors that it had moved in to their garage.
