Activist for Children, PR/Advertising Pro
I live in a green and white house with a red door in Glen Cove.  My husband Frank and I moved to Glen Cove in 2004 from Manhattan and we love it here.  I'm a wife, stepmom, mom to Kewan Beebe, Advertising/PR professional, and I'm on the Board of Directors at Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club.
I enjoy baking cakes, singing in the shower, reading great books, digging in the dirt, dancing with my iPod, practicing yoga, hiking, biking, boogie-boarding, rollerblading and running relay races with my kids at the Boys&Girls Club. I'm currently working as Director, Creative Services at IBC Shell Packaging in Lake Success, NY, and I recently pioneered and completed an Interdisciplinary Studies degree with a concentration in Creativity Studies at SUNY Empire State. My creative practice is Creative Writing. I love my kids at the Boys&Girls Club.  They each are beautiful, energetic and brilliant! I'm thrilled for the opportunity to serve on the Board, ensuring that we provide our kids in Glen Cove with a safe and loving environment where they can come every day and call it "their club."  I am Miss Carla to them and they mean the world to me.  I am nourished by the kids and they make my world a better place. I'm also interested in preserving the beauty and history of Glen Cove.  We are in the initial stages of hopefully marking Doctors Row as an historic area of our city. My mantra is HOPE, OPPORTUNITY and LOVE in creating a beautiful community for all who live here.
