As I wrote on my personal blog via Alan Watts - “Trying to define yourself is like biting your own teeth.”

There is no one label, and certainly I've gotten too old to describe myself with degrees, certifications and awards. I will admit to being an independent sales rep for a packaging design company here in Hauppauge. But beyond that, I'm a wanderer of prose and poetry, am an amateur photographer, and enjoy experiencing all of the creative arts and the museums, galleries, and books that support them.

I've lived in Glen Cove for more than twenty years with my wife, and raised two children, several dogs, and one very odd cat whom we believe secretly time travels.

As a former EMT and volunteer with our local ambulance corps, I helped care for the elderly, injured, and less than fortunate. As a current volunteer for SPOHNC (Support for People with Oral Head & Neck Cancer), I spend time supporting my peers and counseling those newly diagnosed patients and caregivers who have been thrust into this very frightening and confusing world.

Like most, I try to understand the world I live in and attempt to do that in my writing. Feel free to let me know if I've made any progress.

Onward we go - new adventures await!
