Mark Deutsch, Neighbor

Mark Deutsch is a lifelong resident of Glen Cove and is proud to be one of four generations of Deutsch business owners in the area.  His father, Jack Deutsch owned and operated Maclobe Lumber in Glen Cove and his mother, Marjorie, operated Wings and Waves Travel.  His son, Jonathan operates Jon Deutsch Computer Services in Glen Cove and his daughter, Giselle is an elementary school teacher in the Glen Cove School District.

 

Like Madonna, he has re-invented himself through the years; focus (pun intended) always being on small business promotion.  He was the owner of Rent-A-Wreck in Glen Head, and founder of Dollarsworth Rent-A-Car.

Mark started his passion for photography very early on, when his father put an Argus C3 in his hands at age 6... and the love of capturing images always remained with him.  Today, he operates DeutschPhotographics. His photos have appeared in Newsday, Robb Report, the DuPont Registry, as well as National WWW publications and brochures.  It only came naturally to him that he would foster his love of photography further and combine it with his love for Glen Cove.

  In the summer, you can find him at Crescent Beach or taking a stroll in Wellwyn with camera in hand.  You might even find him there after a snowfall to capture the beauty of the Gold Coast.  He continues to photograph images of Glen Cove in his spare time; the people that make it what it is and the beauty that it encompasses.  Mark is a true Glen Cover.
