Bio: Micah Danney is a contract editor for Glen Cove Patch. He's a 2011 graduate of Stony Brook University's School of Journalism, with a minor in history. He is the first recipient of the school's Jeanine A. Rescigno Memorial Award for Exceptional In-Depth Reporting by a Non-Traditional Student. Micah likes taking his pot-bellied pig, Junk, for walks on the beach, on forest trails and anywhere else the independent-minded hog will allow. Micah takes a deep interest in animal rights. He's passionate about learning what he doesn't know, taking every new bit of knowledge he comes across and incorporating it into an ever-evolving understanding of how the world works.
