The Chamber of Commerce and the City of Glen Cove dedicated a beam from the wreckage of the World Trade Center to the Glen Cove Fire Department Wednesday.
The beam was welded to an engraved granite mount and topped with a winged emblem. The memorial now stands in Pratt Park next to the fire department.
In this video, Third Assistant Chief Robert Marino thanks the Chamber and all who made the memorial possible.
Wednesday was the 12th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.
