Select Chorale will head to Washington, D.C. in December.

Glen Cove High School Select Chorale students will head to Washington, D.C. in December to perform at the White House and several other memorial sites within the city.

The Select Chorale has won several awards over the years for excellence and is only the 2nd Chorus High School group from Long Island to be invited to perform at the White House. Last year, the Select Chorale was one of a few groups in the region invited to participate in the Westminster Choir College Invitational Choral Festival.

The Music Performance Arts Parent Association (MPAPA), a non profit organization founded by a group of parents and alumni, is the booster association for the Music department.
