Library Offers Spanish Language Program

A one-time session with Spanish speakers of varied backgrounds will be held at the Glen Cove Public Library on May 16.

The Glen Cove Public Library is offering a free Spanish language and culture program on Wednesday, May 16 at 7 p.m.

"Conversations in Spanish" will feature local native and non-native speakers and "Hispanic culture enthusiasts," according to a press release from the library. The release promoted the event as an opportunity to practice advanced Spanish skills and make new friends who have a common interest.

The program will feature articles read in Spanish, with participants invited to discuss the different topics covered using Spanish exclusively.

Adults and high school students with advanced knowledge of the language are welcome.

Participants must register with the library's reference desk or contact Amy Gretchen at 516-676-2130.
