Monday, August 16 : The rain forced fans of the Eglevsky Ballet indoors to the Friends Academy Helen Dolan Theater, but did not stop Morgan Park Festival goers from enjoying the show. Interim Superintendent of Schools Joseph A. Laria said low test scores could be rectified through AIS and ESL improvements; and Patch featured the cheapest gas prices in Glen Cove.

Tuesday, August 17: Patch celebrated its 100th launch site with a special Editor's Notebook; we showed you how Operation Safe Child ensures safety of Glen Cove kids, and featured the athletic achievements of two former Big Red teammates.

Wednesday, August 18: Glen Cove residents fashioned an amateur softball team known as the Dream Killers; the weekly crime report featured drugs, a DWI and impersonation; and Patch contributor Tony Tedeschi urged other Vets to utilize VA healthcare program.

Thursday, August 19: Patch previewed Parrotbeach's Friday night Downtown Sounds concert; the BOE denied a Glen Cove student funding for the BOCES Cultural Arts Center; and community members expressed concern and support over Mangano's police merger plan.
